About

«The Blind Can» is a personal project by Andrey Malin about human potential, modern technology, artificial intelligence, creativity and making something new.
I started this project not just to say that blind people can use modern technology and take up many kinds of activities, but to show it in practice.
I create and develop projects, make videos, host streams, write poems and music, experiment with artificial intelligence and build accessible games that blind people can play on their own.
Why the project exists
The world is changing fast. Artificial intelligence, the internet and modern technology open up opportunities that blind people simply did not have before.
But an opportunity only exists when a person can really use it.
So I am interested not only in talking about new technology, but in testing it in practice:
- Can a blind person do this?
- Can they do it on their own?
- Can they do it comfortably with a screen reader?
- Can they create something new, and not only use what others have already invented?
And if the answer is yes, I want to show it to others.
What you can find here
On «The Blind Can», my different projects and directions are gradually coming together:
- Games. Accessible text games and other games made with the needs of blind players in mind.
- Videos and streams. My experience, experiments, games, travel, technology and events that I want to show to others.
- Music and poems. My poems, songs and music projects.
- New projects. All kinds of ideas can show up here. If I want to test, create or try something new, it can become part of «The Blind Can» too.
The main idea
I don't want to build the project around the thought: «Look, a blind person can do something too».
I find another approach much more interesting: «Let's see what is possible at all, if we don't set limits in advance».
I don't claim that a blind person can do absolutely everything. I show what I can do myself, and I try to find new possibilities where they used to be hard to see.
This project is not only about me
«The Blind Can» began as my personal project. Over time, I want it to become a place where blind people can find new opportunities, technology, games and ideas.
And sighted people can better understand how modern technology changes the lives of blind people and what opportunities it opens up.
So here you will find not only my results, but also my journey: successful experiments, mistakes, new attempts and projects that are still being created.
I don't tell people what blind people can do. I show what a blind person can do.
My channels are designed by Ekaterina Valeryevna Akulshina. Thank you to her.
